Auwn Program for Community Service
The Abu Dhabi Agriculture and Food Safety Authority (ADAFSA) Board of Directors, chaired by HH Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Vice President of the UAE, Deputy Prime Minister, Chairman of the Presidential Court, and Chairman of the Board of Directors of ADAFSA, places great emphasis on CSR programs and activities in order to achieve the government's strategic direction in accordance with the Abu Dhabi Government's general policy agenda to improve the quality of life for citizens and residents in the Emirate of Abu Dhabi. On 12 October 2009, the Auwn Program for Community Service was launched.
The Program aims to improve community conditions and raise the quality of life for the community. It does this by utilizing available resources, whether financial, in-kind, or moral. Ultimately, ADAFSA seeks to strengthen public service and corporate social responsibility (CSR) within UAE society, serving as a model for governmental and non-governmental institutions. This will enrich the role and effectiveness of institutions in community service.
